How to get there

Everything you need to know about getting to Livigno by car.

Foscagno Pass

Open all year with compulsory snow tires and chains on board from October 15th to April 30th.

Forcola Pass

Open only in Summer, from mid-June to late October. Closed in winter.
As weather conditions can adversely affect the viability of the Forcola pass, making transit very risky, we would like to advise our guests not to blindly follow the directions of their sat nav in order to avoid delays to your journey to Livigno and to check the conditions on the pass in real time on this site.

Tunnel "Munt La Schera"

From 1 December until 20 April traffic for Saturdays follows these times:

• 5 a.m. -9 a.m.: Transit allowed from Livigno to Switzerland
• 10 a.m. -11 a.m.: Time reserved for the change of direction
• 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.: Transit allowed from Switzerland to Livigno
• 7 p.m. - 5 a.m.: Open in alternating one-way direction
  
  

Technical info

The Munt la Schera tunnel, open all year 24 hours a day, is a toll road with alternating one-way traffic. It is 3.5km long, 3.6m high and 2.5m wide.

Conditions

• We also accept payments by credit card.
• The document valid for travel abroad (identity card or passport) is compulsory
• It is compulsory to transit with chains on board from October 15th to April 30th.
• It is forbidden to cross the tunnel by bicycle, the Bike Shuttle will take you from Punt da Gall or from La Drossa.
  
  

Vereina Tunnel

The Rhaetian railway takes you and your car from Klosters to Lower Engadina through the Vereina tunnel. The length of the journey is 18 minutes – every day every 30 minutes.
