Introduction of the Tourist Tax in Livigno from July 1st, 2025

Starting on July 1st, 2025, the Municipality of Livigno will introduce a tourist tax, a contribution aimed at improving tourist services and hospitality in the area.

Who has to pay it and for how many nights?

The tourist tax applies to all guests staying in accommodation facilities within the municipality, for a maximum of 7 consecutive nights.

Exemptions

Residents of the municipality
Minors up to the age of 16 (until their 16th birthday)
Employees working in the area
Those assisting patients admitted to healthcare facilities within the municipality (one companion per patient, or both parents if the patient is a minor)
Service operators such as law enforcement, healthcare personnel, civil protection personnel staying for work or emergency purposes
Tour guides accompanying groups of at least 25 participants and coach drivers transporting them
Non self-sufficient persons with disabilities certified under Law No. 104/1992, along with one accompanying person
Beneficiaries of complimentary stays, for which the host does not receive any payment, either from the guest or from third parties
